Tres Glops is a Special Employment Center (CEE) with two very marked aspects: a social line and an environmental one. The project began in 2015 with the support of people with a mental health diagnosis, family members, workers, volunteers and sensitized people who, together with the entities, participated as co-owners. In 2016 we were awarded the Social Innovation Award by the Island Council. As CEE we work with people with disabilities, adapting as much as possible to individual needs and betting on offering a job opportunity in a protected environment. We have a Support Unit for professional activity made up of different professionals whose function is to accompany workers who need it, in their insertion into the world of work, offering a space where they can regain confidence and/or learn new skills with the aim of to achieve a greater personal and social adjustment. The EWCs carry out productive work since they participate in market operations but they differ from an ordinary company in the composition of their workforce, which is made up of at least 70% of people with disabilities. On the other hand, we want to protect our island, which is why we work with a 0 km product, with a reduced ecological footprint and generating very little plastic waste. The bottles used are made of PET free of Bisphenol-A and reusable.
